2. Description of Service

alcedo: your education partner is an AI-powered learning platform designed for students that provides:

• AI Practice Zone with personalized topic recommendations powered by ChatGPT
• Career Fit Report based on Interest, Personality, and Aptitude assessments
• Discover Nearby feature to find educational institutions using Google Places
• EduChat AI (Edo) - an AI-powered academic assistant
• Daily Challenges, tests, leaderboards, and achievement tracking
• Career Abroad guidance for studying in international destinations
• Institute registration and management features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Use a strong, unique password
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• Log out from your account at the end of each session

3.3 Age Requirements

5. Institute Registration

Educational institutions may register on alcedo: your education partner to increase visibility and connect with students. By registering as an institute, you represent and warrant that:

• You are an authorized representative of the institution
• All information provided is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
• You have the necessary rights and permissions to register the institution
• You will comply with all applicable education laws and regulations
• You will not engage in misleading or deceptive practices

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by alcedo: your education partner and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

6.3 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI features (including practice questions, career reports, and chat responses) is provided for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should verify important information from authoritative sources.

7. Subscription and Payments

7.1 Free and Premium Features

alcedo: your education partner offers both free and premium features. Free features are available to all users. Premium features require a paid subscription.

7.2 Billing

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees. If automatic billing fails, we will notify you and may suspend your access to premium features.

7.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the app store. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by law.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

Our Service integrates with third-party services including OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google Places API, and others. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.4 Institute Information

Information about educational institutions is provided by the institutions themselves or from publicly available sources. We do not verify or endorse any institution and are not responsible for the accuracy of institute information, admission decisions, or the quality of education provided.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless alcedo: your education partner, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and associated data
• You will not be entitled to any refund of subscription fees
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
