Students, parents and users can raise privacy, content or safety concerns — and reach a human.

Trusted Ecosystem

Institutions, educators and partners on alcedo are held to responsible standards.

We design the student experience to suit the age group it is intended for.

Institutions and partners using alcedo are expected to respect applicable privacy, child-safety and communication requirements. Where appropriate, we set additional requirements for partners who interact with students.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure or loss — including access controls, authentication, monitoring and other safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved.

That said, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security, and we will not claim otherwise.

11

Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary — to provide the service, meet legitimate business requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

Where information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or otherwise handle it in line with applicable requirements.

  • Improve performance
  • Maintain security

Where required, we provide appropriate choices and disclosures about these technologies.

13

Third-party services

alcedo works with selected technology, payment, communication and analytics providers to operate the platform. They may process information on our behalf only where necessary to provide their service, and subject to appropriate contractual and other safeguards.

14

Educational recommendations

alcedo uses information you provide to generate educational and career-related recommendations. They are meant to help students and families explore options.

They are not a guarantee of admission, employment, academic success, placement or any future career outcome. Students and parents should also consider official information and, where appropriate, seek guidance from qualified professionals before making significant educational decisions.

15

Our commitment to transparency

Privacy policies should be understandable — not hidden behind complicated legal language. We will always work to communicate, in plain words:

What we collectWhy we collect itHow we use itWhen it may be sharedWhat choices you have
16

Changes to this policy

As alcedo grows, our services, technology and legal obligations will change, and this Privacy & Child Safety framework may be updated from time to time. When we make significant changes, we take reasonable steps to communicate them through appropriate channels.
